Hi, I’m Julie and I want to get to know you. I work and play in NY, at the intersection of technology, education, and marketing. I blend together diverse insights gained from a range of functions and industries, cross-disciplinary collaborations, and varied personal experiences that enrich my capacity to think creatively and act strategically. This outlook creates an environment where fresh ideas can flourish and bold solutions can emerge.
Leadership Mindset
By learning from the past, staying focused on the present, and anticipating the future, I’m committed to helping everyone adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
Learn from the past: by examining historical data—be it customer behaviors, industry trends, or organizational practices—we can see patterns of success, as well as pitfalls. I bring doctoral-level rigor to data analysis and research. This approach helps avoid repeating mistakes, while equipping to adapt effective strategies as we move forward.
Ground in the now: current landscape is critical for staying aware and informed. Market shifts, emerging technologies, or newly identified customer pain points, being attentive to the present ensures we aren’t relying on outdated assumptions.
Thrive in the future: forward-thinking leaders and organizations make bets and invest in the future. I proactively ideate, plan scenarios, trend-spot, and harness emerging tech to plan out innovative paths. While I know how to react and crisis-manage, taking informed, proactive steps positions companies to capitalize on strategic opportunities and stay ahead.
Leading through periods of business growth and intense, pivotal moments has honed my ability to identify strategic opportunities where others see only challenges. My approach is inherently human-centric, driven by empathy and a desire to understand needs at a fundamental level. I embrace transformative and servant leadership styles, prioritizing innovative motion while remaining situationally aware. I’ve lead teams of 5 to 40 at organizations sized 20 to 3,500. Regardless of team size, I foster an inclusive and highly engaged environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute their best.
The pursuit of knowledge is core to my growth mindset. I hold a doctoral degree in Organizational Change & Leadership, check out my research-based playbook on developing high-performing leaders.
Deep Skillset
A diverse set of functional skills, I play at the intersection of technology, marketing, and education.
Technical & Product Strategy
My career began in coding, but my true strength lies in bridging technology with business outcomes. I specialize in building scalable, future-proof solutions—whether it’s leading a platform migration that streamlined operations for a global team, architecting a first-party data strategy that increased marketing efficiency, or developing AI-driven automation that cut manual workflows in half. I thrive in complexity, translating business needs into actionable roadmaps and guiding products from concept to launch. With a deep tech stack understanding and an agile mindset, I focus on impact. AI enablement is currently at the forefront of my approach, harnessing its potential to drive efficiency, innovation, and smarter decision-making.
Marketing & Revenue Growth
Ah the art and science of marketing! I’ve built and led marketing strategies that drive real business impact. I’ve scaled a customer engagement strategy that increased enrollments for top universities, designed a personalization framework that doubled conversion rates, and implemented structured experimentation that boosted conversion. My approach blends audience insights with precision execution, from lifecycle marketing and go-to-market planning to SEO, organic growth, direct engagement, and paid acquisition. I have extensive experience in email marketing and automation, leading teams to build high-performing nurture programs, optimize segmentation, and enhance engagement and retention. At the core, I believe in continuous iteration—refining strategies through experimentation, data analysis, and technology to create marketing that is both scalable and deeply customer-centric.
Learning Strategy & Development
I'm passionate about fostering growth in others through effective, research-based learning strategies. In 2024, I completed USC’s rigorous doctoral curriculum in Organizational Change & Leadership, which included a masters certificate in Learning Design & Technology. Grounded in learning theory and design principles, I’ve developed training programs that are engaging and impactful, equipping an operational team with analytical skills to navigate new challenges. I apply learning and motivation principles in both instructional design, and more broadly - in leadership and stakeholder education.
Operational Excellence
Operational excellence is non-negotiable. I build scalable workflows, streamline collaboration, and ensure product design, delivery, and implementation run seamlessly. I’ve led teams through complex operations, resource planning, and automation, cutting inefficiencies and making execution smoother. My approach is simple: organize the work, eliminate the noise, and set teams up to win. Strong systems make teams unstoppable.
Unwind
Beyond the world of technology and strategy, I find balance and fulfillment in connecting with my community and nurturing my own well-being. Giving back is a core value, and I've had the privilege of contributing my skills to several organizations.
I volunteer my time serving as a marketing advisor to Open Source Gallery, mentoring aspiring college students with Executives On Campus, and sharing my knowledge through guest lectures on digital marketing at the university level.
Closer to home, I'm a proud parent of two amazing young adults, and my loyal canine companion Cookie reminds me daily of the importance of simple joys and unconditional love. When I'm not geeking out, you'll find me on my yoga mat, or outdoors appreciating nature and art, or on my Harley Sportster 1200, cultivating inner peace – a necessary counterpoint to the fast-paced nature of my professional life.
